Original Celtic Art From Ravensdaughter Designs

Celtic Wolf White

$25.00

Wolves are totem animals in Celtic lore, but while dogs often find their way into Celtic art, wolves typically do not. Perhaps this is because the Celts commonly wove "friendly" motifs into their art and while dogs are "man's best friend", the wolf was an enemy - traveling in packs and attacking livestock. I have drawn this Celtic Wolf in a southwestern style with the figure howling at a Celtic spiral moon. The figure is composed of several individual knots, rather than a single knot which weaves throughout the picture. This print measures 12" x 12" overall. The design measures 7.25" x 7.25" inches and will fit inside a 12" x 12" framing matte. When framing, I suggest a white matte with a black interior cut color and black frame.
